1917 (2019 film)

"1917" is a technical marvel, fluidly following two soldiers attempting to deliver a message through the grim WWI trenches, hoping to stop a brutal, foolhardy attack. The camera swoops and dives, drawing the audience into the heart of the drama and brutality of war. You'll find it hard to draw breath for two hours. This screening will (as always) be introduced by Barry Purves with informed trivia, anecdotes and some background of the production. The bar will be open before and after the show.
